"The hotel was great for what I was looking for. It was clean and airy and modern. The food in the evening was poor and unappetising. The gym and pool were well looked after and nice to use. It was a shame the lifeguard was talking to a friend throughout her time, lifeguarding the pool."

"The hotel was in the middle of a refurb hence some of the lower stars. The location is fantastic. Opposite the beach and a few mins walk from Spanish City. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. I booked a single room which was very spacious. The bathroom was bright and new. Unfortunately the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable and the room a bit dated bit I'm assuming that will be sorted when the refurb is finished. Breakfast was very good but served 6 till 9 which, when you're on holiday, is a tad early. I only went down twice. I hope to go back once the refurb is finished, providing they don't hike the prices top much."

"Had a lovely stay at The Sea Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay again!"

"We arrived quite late to a welcome free car park, rear access. With a room on the 2nd floor and the lift out of order (for a long time, apparently) we were struggling up the stairs when a member of staff got us help with the bags, which was great. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was basic - there was a weird 1 inch gap under the door which was weird. The bathroom was tired but functional and toiletries were supplied. There were no useful sockets by the beds though and 2 bedside lamps but only one with a 3-pin regular plug we could use! The 3 beds were comfy, sheets were clean and the room was large. Overall, it was fairly basic, considering it wasn't cheap. The hotel is tired - needs a lot of TLC but was perfectly adequate for our stay. Shame they can't be bothered to fix the lift."

"What a treasure this boutique hotel was. Lovely comfortable beds, wonderful shower and the best breakfast I’ve ever had in England. It’s in a charming coastal town and just a short walk to the beach. Parking was free and easy in the area."

"Good location although no dedicated parking, although the owner did provide parking vouchers to allow street parking, however due to busy school holidays and roadworks this was a bit problematic. Good communication from owner on check-in/entry to apartments. Our unit was up several flights of narrow steep stairs, and although two chair lifts were present there was still an intermediate set of stairs that weren’t covered - the chair lifts restricted ability to walk up the stairs with a suitcase safely. Kitchen well appointed although compact and crowded eating/sitting/cooking area. Only provided decaffeinated coffee along with caffeinated and decaf tea, however good to provide drinking chocolate. Close to beaches, shops and rail."
