"Swimming pool was inoperable. No Continental breakfast anymore. Elevator was dirty. 3rd floor smelled like cigarettes and marijuana everyday. Walls were dirty. There was a rude female employee that saw me standing in the lobby area and demanded to know my room number without any greeting. I gave her my info and she just looked at me like I was lying to her. I noticed a small car in the parking with flat tires. 3 cars of police came one night for a disruptive guest. And last but not least a BED...

"Our stay at Tru by Hilton Lake Charles was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Great parking space and convenient. It made our anniversary getaway even more comfortable and enjoyable while we soaked in that beautiful bayou view. I definitely recommend this location and don’t always go by negative reviews, pray about it and see for yourself."

"Friendly staff, great pool. Kitchen lacked enough silverware and dirty dishes when we arrived, floors were sticky and we had to let the hot water run for 20 minutes before it was warm. Parking was a challenge. Over all, nice stay and will consider staying again next time we visit the area."

"This property was just ok. I booked after reading some good reviews. I did not think this place was as good as what the reviews said. They welcome pets, and there is no charge. That is really the best part. However, it seemed as if people were iso g the place as an extended stay as a grill was outside one of the rooms. Also, nighttime noise was an issue. People were outside of their room talking on speakerphone. It is really close the to Highway, so you had that noise as well. We probably would...
