View was really nice, room was comfortable and cozy. However it needs a complete up date as some things were broken in our room. Staff were brill. Apart from that everything was fine :)
Good location although road noise in room horrendous. Double glazing worse than useless in noise control. Breakfast offering worst we have ever had and overpriced
This is a lovely place to stay, steve was welcoming and helpful.
It within close proximity to the shops, cafes, bars, promenade. But not too close to disturb. Its a mile from Windermere which is a nice strole, slightly up hill but not too much of a treck. Its a 2 minute walk to the lake where you can jump on a boat to Ambleside or Lakeside or across to wray castle. There is parking around the back of the property but be sure to reserve prior to your stay as it is limited. The property is clean, well maintained, and nice decor. If you need a firm mattress this wont be disappointing.
I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Field house as a place to stay.
We booked the room it said on the Internet that there was a car park we booked it because we wanted a car park when we got to the bed and breakfast they told me there was no car park we have a new car and wait at to park it in for main street there was a lot of drunken youths up-and-down at night was very worrying about the car also the room was hot so we had the windows on done and I was woke up at 1 to 3 with people shouting and singing from the pub

Arrived at the property to be told we had no booking. I asked her to check Expedia and she logged in and found it. She said we had not reserved a car space so couldn’t have one but were given the option of one nearby. She asked if we had booked breakfast. But after looking she said “you can’t have breakfast, not at that price”. Also that the price was not acceptable as the room can demand £150 around Easter. We paid the screen price when booking and did not haggle for a discount. The bed was so rock hard and unacceptable that we were both lacking in sleep and aching but had no alternative but to stay there. When I pulled back the sheet before leaving to see the make of mattress I was horrified to see heavy urine stains covering the majority of the surface. The location is great but the service and hygiene and lack of comfort means this establishment get a vote of no confidence from us.
The friendliness of the staff, and the location makes this a great place to stay. Parking at the rear of the property is good.
Everything on the door step.
Good location, staff helpful & friendly. Limited parking, i didn't realise you had to pre-book, but fortunately the Manager was able to allocate a space for me.
Lovely little place, excellent position for central Bowness bars and restaurants.
Parking is fine if you plan ahead and owner was extremely friendly and helpful.
Would stay again.
