"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. "Breakfast was everything you'd want and more. A great start to an active day with the kids at Wookey hole attraction or walking the country side."

"The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. "

"The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was ok not a lot of room in it. The staff were polite and welcoming. The bar was nice and had plenty of drinks to choose from. The restaurant was ok, the breakfast was good plenty too choose like cereals, pastries and full English breakfast "

Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. The quiet location, the lovely food, the friendly staff, all make for a really gorgeous overnight treat.
