"We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. "

"Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time."

"There is a golf course on site which means the golfers enter the building at times which creates mess on the floor apart from that room breakfast and evening meal were lovely."

"I loved the hotel and the style But while we stayed we had a fire alarm go off at 2am, Which I can say was extremely traumatic thinking there is a fire, The fact it happened wasn’t the issue It was the fact that it went off lasted a few minutes and then went silent and the lights went back out in the room We are all on the corridor wondering and asking each other what to do.there was no announcement no one came round to say what to do, I couldn’t sleep because my heart was racing and my head...

"Went for wedding, was astonished at the route from hotel foyer to venue, especially with so many people attending. Found dining room food uninspired and breakfast cool even early."

"Air conditioning in the room did not work Bit poor as we were in a mini heatwave. Could not use our room from 3pm as it was only just starting to be deep cleaned after having a dog in the room. On the evening we had to wait for two hours for food. Not told that when we ordered. The place was just short staffed and it showed. My partner was told by the manager that our meals would be compensated due to really poor service and presentation. That hasn't happened. The next morning was better....
