"My 5 stars are sincere. If I'm lucky enough to be able to return to Quito I would stay here again without hesitation. The location is excellent, directly between Plaza Grande and La Basilica, the colonial building is very nicely restored, the room was comfortable, and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. "Loved the hostel. Has the historic rustic vibe. Have daily events and walking tour on board schedule. In or around the old historic town. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor."

"All the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was limited but okay. I requested a room with a view, but didn’t realize it was 6 floors up—with no elevator! Do I asked for a lower-level room and got one on the third floor. The next night I moved to a lower floor, however, it was very noisy. Good thing I had my ear plugs. The location is fantastic!"
