"A small room with double bed. Very clean. Hospitality tray very well supplied. Bathroom with bath with shower over. The staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent evening meal. The room would have benefited from a bedside lamp reached from the exit side of the bed. "

"Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. "I went down for breakfast at 7.30....a bit later than I usually would, but everything was closed. I tried calling the number on the front desk but didn't get an answer. The room is decent but the bed was very hard."

You are in the centre of the village. Easy access to other areas of the Scottish Borders. Evening tends to close early so make sure you bring a good book. "
