"The staff, service and food were exceptional. The location was perfect for what we wanted out of a four night stay in Kyoto. But, it was the staff that made the experience memorable. Some of the key spots are just around the corner from the hotel. Given the crowds during the day, it was easy to see them early in the morning or after dinner when the crowds were much smaller. If you are looking for the perfect atmosphere from a traditional small Japanese Ryoken then look no further!"

Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. "

"Our stay was second to none due to the incredible staff, beautiful amenities/onsen, and clean room. The front desk and greeting staff, specifically “Coco”, were so pleased personable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel special during our stay. As this was our honeymoon trip, they provided us extra drink tickets and a box of sweets in our room. There were free soft drinks, tea, coffee etc. available 24/7, as well as a Happy Hour upstairs overlooking the entire city, PLUS a foot...

The hotel had hundreds of restaurants and bars within walking distance and is close to a major rail station. However, even though in the middle of the hustle and bustle the building was very quiet and we were able to get excellent rest. Would absolutely stay here again if I come back to Kyoto. "
