"Excellent stay. Room clean and comfortable. Room didn’t match the picture with a separate shower cubicle but the bath did have a shower head attachment so it wasn’t an issue. It is an old property so don’t picture everything to be perfect but again nothing affected the stay. Restaurant was good with main and special menus. The breakfast was excellent and included with the price so overall it was excellent value. Would definitely recommend."

"Just spent 4 nights at the Brown Horse Inn. The staff were great. Food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent particularly the roast on Sunday. Great choice for breakfast. The Inn is very well placed to explore the South Lakes. Would happily recommend."

"A stunning facility in a rural property in belies the quality of this place. Check in was painless, efficient and helpful with clear directions to our room, once there WOW. Walked into a very large room with more space one would expect in a 5 star establishment. Big comfortable bed, really good bathroom and kitchen to boot. If we were going to stay in the area this would be the place to choose. Had dinner there and service was lovely, food plentiful and tasty and a pre dinner drink in the bar...
