Very helpful host, clean room and comfortable bed. With earplugs I slept very well.
Guest house is lovely, arrival was smooth, car park was quite small and the driveway is very narrow not ideal if you have a large car as makes getting in and out difficult. Our double room was clean and nicely decorated, mattress was ok however the wooden bed frame was very creaky and we could also hear our neighbours bed too.
The walls are quite thin and due to it being an older property floor boards creak. We were woken at 1am by guests in the room next door coming home, talking and walking around the room for nearly an hour it was as though they were in the room with us.
Overall our stay was good, just didn’t have the best sleep.
Hotel was easy to get to by walking although the bus stops very near. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I was impressed by how clean the communal areas were. Although I have never stayed in a place where it was semi en-suite- this was not an issue at all. I was impressed with the television as it had Netflix available as so often there is nothing to watch in the hotel rooms. This hotel was a reasonable price and worth every penny. I would definitely stay here again.
This property was spotless and in great decorative order. I was delighted by the size of the room. Public transport is excellent. The Number 7 bus goes from outside the Railway Station and drops you outside. It is also walkable if you are attending an event at the Barbican. Highly recommended
