Hotel Red Roof Inn di York

"I was not impressed with this particular Red Roof Inn, and I have stayed in quite a few. I stayed in room 126. The water came out brown at first which indicates that no one has stayed in the room for a while. The bedsheets were torn, and had permanent marker writing on them as to perhaps indicate which side was up and down for proper folding or placement on the beds, and also blue stains which tells me the detergent wasn't washed out properly. "The room appeared not to have been deep cleaned in quite some time and was in need of a thorough cleaning. The air conditioner vent had a significant buildup of dust, which restricted airflow and prevented the unit from cooling effectively. We felt it was necessary to place a towel on the shower floor, and the shower faucet handle was broken. Overall, the room showed considerable signs of wear and tear. "Clean room. Most of the staff was friendly. I had to ask to have housekeeping do my room. Only done 1 time in 5 days."
