"First off, I appeciate the amentities as they add something extra to your stay. The 24 hour coffee machine, hot water or flat/sparkling water are a nice touch. The pool is nicely updated, but a little bit cooler especially in the evening (I only note this as it does affect if the kids will go in and for how long). The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The first concierge we dealt with at check in was really thoughtful and went out of his way to make the kids' stay special. The rooms overall are clean and updated, of course the one time we needed a microwave there was none (but you have access to one in the foyer). The only issues we encountered was our air conditioner/heater would make an extremely loud sound when it kicked on that almost sounded like a car crashed outside the room, which woke everyone up shortly after midnight. The second is that there were some little animals that were scurrying around in the ceiling both in the evening and in the morning (there was no evidence of any in our room though). I know this is hard to control especially with cooler weather and when I just mentioned it casually at the front at check out the concierge nervously laughed and didn’t say anything else. We have stayed here previously though and did not have this issue."

"The hotel rooms are showing their age, no hair dryer in the rooms, and the hotel was extremely noisy. There was a hockey and ringette tournament (which is fine) but the noise went well past 2am. "
