"Absolutely loved our stay. Staff was amazing and attentive. The grounds are open to people staying after the park closes so it was nice to explore. They offer animal interaction feeding for a reasonable price per the room regardless of number of people, which was great! Had free fishing on grounds which kids loved. Dinning was great. Enjoyed our stay. "

"Hands down one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had in my life. The tiny house was clean, wonderfully decorated. It included snacks and some small gifts that made the stay even more special. The bed and linens were amazingly comfortable. It was wonderful to sit outside in the hot tub or inside by the fire. I can’t recommend this place enough. "

"Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. The guided hike into the National Park was underwhelming - the wildlife was superb, but you only skirt the periphery of the park and don't get to really explore the old growth. "

"Better than expected. Great room good size and all facilities but mattress very old and creaky as breakfast service let it down. Remember all yours cash only and nearby cash points didn’t work for us and hotel unable to give cash back. "

"Although not a far walk from the centre it had lovely feel of a jungle cabin mainly due to wooden interior. This made room quite dark but what you would expect in a jungle. Saw a Toucan a few feet away on the balcony. Breakfast very good. Stayed two nights."

"This community of small Villas was perfect for our stay. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very helpful and kind. The location was very convenient, being next to a supermarket and a 10 minute walk from the local beach. The rooms are not luxury, but nice for this price and they have everything you need. We had a problem with our AC unit on the first night, but the staff was quick to offer us a new room while it was being repaired. The breakfast was traditional Costa Rican...

"This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. That did not bother us since they all have ceiling fans, but it may be a consideration of some."
