"Great hotel at a great location! At first we were concerned about the hotel having no staff on premises for check in, but everything went smoothly, we got a password for the doors prior to our arrival and were able to get in with no problems. The room was great overall and with a nice view. The location is amazing, just by two of the best waterfalls we’ve seen on the south coast and also close to great hiking trails. "The hotel is very close to some beautiful spots in Iceland. We chose it so that we could spend two nights and move from there to different points; it was a great decision! "We had an excellent stay at Skalakot and wished we could have stayed longer. The property is so beautiful and our room was very spacious. We also really enjoyed the fireplace lounge after dinner. The spa was worth the extra fee and a very relaxing experience. Dinner was so delicious and relaxing as well. We were part of a larger group and that didn’t impact the quality of our meal.
