"First time stating in hotel although haven to Dales many times before. Overall it’s fine but not fabulous. Food is good, tasty especially the breakfast . Personally preferred the bar food to Palmers. Service was variable but most staff were very attentive. Room was comfortable, especially the bed, great shower, large TV. No air con and noisy when window opened as our room ‘ Aysgarth’ was main road facing . Generally the carpets needed a good clean on the stairs and landing . Sadly weather was...

"Lovely room, views spectacular, booked for Sat and Sun 2 nights Bed & Breakfast however was informed only on check in that there was no breakfast Monday morning as they are closed, dissapointed on Sunday to find all options for food on site where also closed by 6pm, there are pubs about 3 mile away in Middleham but after a couple of drinks during the day no option to drive there so left feeling somewhat hungry until next day to find somewhere for breakfast after checking out. "The hotel is in the middle of Middleham and there is easy access to the castle and local areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They catered well for my food allergies, which was good as I don't think I would have been able to eat elsewhere in the town. Saying that, I personally wasn't impressed with breakfast but my husband was. Lastly parking was on the street in the market square. We had no problem finding a parking space."
