I stayed for three nights the staff and food was amazing I wanted a little break away from my busy lifestyle and this was the place to be. i will be back with my partner and dog again thank you Keep up the good work guys

Pub was lovely the food very nice big let down we had no heating in room it was really cold for rhe 2 nites we stayed ,which was the weekend of the storms poor responce from mangement .It actually spolt the stay as it was so cold in the room .gave us a oil radiator but was not adequate

If you're a all creatures great and small fan, it's perfect, as you walk in you actually walk into the "drovers". If you're not a fan it will take you back it's an unchanged farmers country pub, but don't let that deter you, the rooms are stunningly clean, the staff friendly and very attentive.

The apartment was spotless, the view from the room was beautiful. The pub interior was like it was straight from medieval times. Lovely little village location. Had a fab time, would definitely stay again

This is an excellent establishment. I can’t think of a more welcoming and jovial place I’ve been to. On Wednesday nights they have live music from 2 local musicians. It was absolutely wonderful. Amazing views and scenery as well. Right on the national nature reserve.

The room was comfortable and very functional. The designer has made the most of the space available. The breakfast was excellent and parking was easy. Definitely recommended.

This is a delightful Inn, located in a beautifully quiet part of Cumbria. The rooms are rustic, clean and the beds very comfortable. The food menu is traditional - the steak pies being an excellent choice. One small point would be that the tables in the bar/restaurant could do with a deep clean, as they are very 'sticky' but otherwise the place gets 9/10 from me. I would definitely stay here again.

The room we had were smallish but very well designed to use the space and very clean and stylish. Staff were very helpful. Didn't use the bar area until morning fir the delightful breakfast. Great breakfast. Surrounding area was beautiful and nice and quiet at night. The only con I could comment was I could here the tv in room next door, but not super bad, just enough that you could hear when trying to sleep. Otherwise, excellent place and the waterfall behind the place was great even though we haven't had for some time.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were quant with lots of old world atmosphere. Great location with a very nice walk to a pretty waterfall right out of the car park
