"My recent stay at the Hampton Inn was one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The first room we were given a suite we had originally reserved was in unacceptable condition. There was poop on the toilet, the carpet was dirty, and it was obvious the room had not been cleaned properly.

"Good-close to downtown and other sites. Breakfast was very good too!! Loved the coffee!!
Bed-when we arrived at 630pm our room was not clean and ready. It was the last room and took 2 hours for us to get into the room. Wifi only works in the Lobby, not in our room. Ice machine located outside our door and very noisy. Phone not connected. Shower dials broken and about to fall off the wall. Housekeepers only left decaf coffee every time. Much improvement needed!!!!!"

"This hotel is undergoing renovations, so this review is how conditions were on my one night stay.
On check in, hotel staff told me I was currently booked on second floor rooms but that elevator was not working due to renovations. He offered to move us to first floor if we wanted. I was traveling with my daughter and her two young children, plus my son and his dog. He was very helpful and pleasant and made the switch which made it much easier for us and our multiple to cars to carry...

"I've stayed at El Rey many times, and I always enjoy it. The rooms are large and smartly decorated, there are many fun events that regularly occur on the property, and everything is well maintained. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, although the bartenders at La Reina seem to favor local patrons and can sometimes be aloof. "So I have stayed here a few times. Great location for me. Reasonable rates, basic hotel. Rooms are clean and bed comfortable. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Bathroom is in decent shape but bathroom fixtures (tub/shower) are in big need of renewal and replacement. They function poorly and not efficiently. A minor blip on a good stay."

"This is NOT a three star rating as posted by the questionable "Anonymous" reviews. We left after one hour due to what appeared to be blood stains on one of the lampshades, and just general uncleanliness. There was a pile of someones dirty clothes sitting in the hallway.
There are many lodging options in Santa Fe - Pay the extra money and avoid this place. I have yet to see one positive review of this hotel that wasn't "Anonymous.""
