"They didn’t offer us the right room, offered us the cheaper value room, the staff didn’t even inform us even when we made the booking for king bed 1 month back, told us they gave it to someone else. All this when we entered the room and realized the wrong bed type, and called them, they didn’t have the courtesy to tell us this beforehand when we were checking in. The parking charge was 15 dollars and there was no onsite parking we had to go to the other side of the road to park car, why do you charge parking in that case. I would not recommend people to waste their money on this hotel, I only booked it since my flight landed late and I wanted something near to airport on that night."

"Holua Resort is a comfortable, family‑friendly property that delivers a relaxing stay on the Big Island. The grounds are lush and well maintained, and the pool and surrounding facilities are inviting and peaceful. Our two‑story unit was **spacious** and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of room to spread out, a functional kitchen, and comfortable sleeping areas that worked well for a longer stay. That said, the décor and finishes do feel a bit dated, so manage your expectations if you’re looking for something very modern. The one real downside was the layout of the resort itself: parking can be quite far from the units, and we found ourselves hauling luggage a long way in the rain, through areas with standing water, which was inconvenient on arrival and departure. Overall, though, the friendly atmosphere, quiet setting, and roomy accommodations made it a very pleasant stay and a place we’d consider returning to with just a bit of logistical planning."

"This was the best and most beautiful condo on our trip to Kauai, Maui and Big Island. The view was great, The kitchen and counters were amazing, the living and dining room were very comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms were perfect. The beds were comfortable and it was an excellent location. It was also very quiet which was nice. It had a very large and comfortable outside area as well."

"The hotel's overall design is nice. The overall staging was fine. However, it’s so hard to park; if you get there late, they will ask you to park on the hotel property across the street. And the parking lot is so small and crowded. And you can hear the AC fan next door. The AC in the room is loud, too. It’s nice location, clean and convenient. But I wouldn't choose next time. "

"The unit and pool area were really great- clean, easy to use and the pricing was fair. The biggest problem was the check in process. We never received a code or confirmation email and when we arrived at 5:30pm on a Wednesday there was no information in the parking garage about where to go. We called the 800 number for the unit without a callback and also called expedia for check in help. We were told that we were going to have to wait until the next business day to get the code for check in. We were able to get a hotel room nearby but we are out a lot of money for that hotel room and the night that we paid for and weren't able to use."
