The lounge bar that turns into a nightclub is such a standout, we had so much fun there. "The hotel space is nice. The wait for the elevator was outrageous. We waited easily for 15-20 minutes each time we needed to leave or return. The staff was unresponsive and unapologetic regarding this issue. I asked the concierge to help with reservations prior to arrival and she was unhelpful and neither communicated nor responded to my emails without several follow up emails asking for a status update. "Stayed here about 5 years ago and it was 5 star. Gone a bit downhill since with dated/well used/weathered furniture, faded elevator buttons, etc, and general laissez-faire attitude from staff makes this now a low 3 after most recent visit. Arrived for checkin at 4:45pm and was told to wait as room was not ready. Credit to Dan for waiving our daily resort fee for the inconvenience. "The room was so spacious and clean! I loved the fact you can hop onto any subway and get around the city easily from this location! Tons of food options and you can even leave and come back across the city within 30 minutes if you want to bring food back to the hotel, bring extra because you can heat it up later! I loved the view of the hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly. Was probably my favorite stay of any hotel. The Roku box came in clutch especially for late night movie watching...

"I chose the Standard because the Moxy wasn't available. I needed to be near my son's NYU dorm on 3rd. Ave. The Standard proved to be fantastic and I will definitely return. Rudy at the front desk was really friendly and professional. The parking was explained clearly to me. Rudy gave me an upgrade to a higher floor so I'd have a fantastic view.
