Great room and space was fine - was thinking room would be smaller! Coffee maker was a bonus. Staff at desk were always lovely and friendly. Mostly fine for waiting for lifts/elevators but at busier times was a longer wait. There are 3 though so wasn’t too bad as other reviews worried me about this before going. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Had to ask for firmer pillow though - they accommodated quickly. Walls are thin and did shake when other doors slammed shut. Situated by lift which wasn’t an issue but also by the cleaning cupboard so was woken a few times - one at 2:30am with someone on their walkie talkie. Smoke alarm was going off on night we got back - they removed battery and said would replace next day but it never got replaced before we then left. Overall a great stay - location is fab next to a lot of things and also to lots of subway options. Walkable to Staten Island ferry / charging bull / Wall Street etc. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was a little dated, but it was fine. There were people fighting in the hall. The in-room phone did not work. I called the front desk on my cell and they answered and immediately put me on hold-for 20 minutes. It was scary. I did not feel safe with the fighting and not being able to get hold of the front desk in a timely manner. I dont think I will stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Hilton New York Downtown and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. One of the most concerning issues during our stay was the lack of hot water. After a long day in cold New York weather, my elderly parents and I returned to our room expecting basic comfort, only to find that there was no hot water available. This forced us to shower in cold water, which was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable—especially given that my mother has asthma. Situations like this can directly impact health and well-being, and I was quite dissatisfied that such a fundamental amenity was not available when needed. Additionally, we experienced a very alarming and frightening situation late at night. Around 2:00 AM, a group of 4–5 intoxicated men came to our door and attempted to open it. They remained outside our room for approximately 30–40 minutes, creating a highly distressing and unsafe environment for us. As guests, we expect a basic level of security and peace of mind, but this incident made us feel vulnerable and deeply unsettled. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations in terms of both comfort and safety. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously and improves their service and security measures to ensure that future guests do not have to go through a similar experience.

Clean rooms, staff was always friendly and courteous, express checkout is always a breeze, room service was quick. Only downside was the amount of time you have to wait for and little space inside elevators. There are 3 elevators, but basically only 2 work all the time as one is used also for service and they have to serve 40+ floors taking too much time sometimes to leave or get into your room. Besides this minor inconvenience, our time at this hotel was great and the location was ideal as it is close to several Subway stations. There is also a nice restaurant next to its entrance.

No cookie at check in! But I got 2 a check out, so fair enough. Problem with the shower was fixed within half an hour of reporting. Room was fine with housekeeping everyday. This was my second stay, location for me is great, and I'm sure I'll stay again.

Basic hotel. Check in. Check out. Decent location. Near Wall Street, Battery park and ferry to Ellis island… subway close. Nothing special but I don’t think it’s intended to be. Fine for place to crash and if you want anything it’s close by.

Clean room. Nice staff. Good location. Only thing I would I would say that is negative is the elevator being backed up all the time.

Staff was abundant friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel was extremely clean and everything in working order. Lots to do eat in the neighborhood and near subway lines. Would recommend.

Clean hotel in a great location, terrific staff. Felt safe. Rooms comfortable, easy to sleep in. My only gripe is that 3 small elevators serve the entire building of 44 floors! We were often waiting for a LONG time for the elevator to come to or take us to the 17th floor.

Hotel room was spacious, beds were ok. Bathroom is ready for a refurb. Hotel in general needs a refurb. Breakfast was terrible. All in all an ok stay.

Overall this property did what i needed it to do. Didn't smell like smoke and it was quiet and everyone was professional and reapectful. It was close to everywhere we needed to go which was a major plus too.

I had a great experience here! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made everything even better. The location was convenient and made it easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers and would love to come back again.

Very old inside it’s not worth the money you can hear people on other apartments like they are in yours we had in our room a door that connects the 2 suites together old wallpaper walls washrooms
