"The apartments are in a covered pedestrian shopping district, repurposed from a warehouse with very high ceilings. It is two levels with the bedroom loft over the downstairs. It is very roomy and surprisingly quiet. It is steps from public transport and the Food Hallen and the Ten Kate Street Market. It’s also 20-30 minutes walking distance to the museums and Vondelpark. "Lovely place to stay and quite near the train station. For daytripping on the train it is a great location. Points of interest within Amsterdam were rather far away for walking and the closest tram stop was also a hike. But a canal tour was very nearby."

"Nice layout with good kitchen. Need more supplies such as coffee and toilet paper. There was no balcony with our unit and the door opened directly into the open air which was terribly unsafe; a crack in the door patched with duct tape. Could have used more blankets as well. Overall, okay for the value. Easy access to train and bus and cute shopping area for coffee and food just one block away."

"The room might have looked like the pictures right when they opened - it almost didn’t seem like the same place as the photos. It was very run down, paint was chipped and peeled, some walls had holes in them. The place smelled like there was mold somewhere in the building when it didn’t smell like there was a sewage spill whiff in the air. You could hear everything going on in the building. We were on the ground floor which was not great in the sense that we could hear every time anyone walked...

"Every aspect was good - location, price, room quality - except for one incident. At about midnight our first night the fire alarms throughout the building sounded and everyone evacuated. We tried using the communication protocols provided but the Numa hosts stopped responding to us. Hence, even though help did arrive, we were not informed. We had 3 young frightened children; hence this was extremely frustrating as we did not know if we needed to find other accommodations, etc"
