"I arrived with my 8 year old for a 2 night stay during a very hot heatwave. Upon checking in I proceeded to attempt to use the little elevator which got stuck between floors with me inside so I went back down and carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs. I booked a family room for five of us (3 kids) - which in itself is unusual to be able to fit 5 in one room! - when we were visiting Paulton Park. "The hotel is in need of an update, with attention to detail for any renovations. The walls of the hotel rooms are thin and you can hear people in neighbouring rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially given one of our party were being disturbed by a party in the neighbouring room. Staff moved them to another room. Breakfast was ok. The spa/swimming pool is in need of some tlc."

"Terrible hotel. Would avoid! Rang me on the day of check-in to say that the hotel was overbooked. I was then told that, as compensation for THEIR error, they would put me in a 'sister' hotel, which in fact looked like a 1970s pub and was not at all a like-for-like swap. Very unhelpful staff; offered absolutely no assistance in resolving any discrepancies, and had to escalate to Expedia to get anywhere."
