Couldn't ask for s better way to start our family trip. Carlos and Werner were absolutely amazing hists and even better humans. Great rooms, and even better breakfast. They gave amazing advise and we hope to visit this place many times down the road. 10/10

Casa Donna Rosa was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. Each morning, we enjoyed feeding the birds from our porch with fresh bananas thoughtfully provided by our hosts, Carlos and Werner—a simple ritual that quickly became a highlight of our stay. Carlos and Werner were exceptionally gracious and attentive, always ensuring we felt welcome and well cared for. Every morning they prepared a delicious, homemade breakfast and offered wonderful recommendations for exploring the area, which made our experience even more memorable. We left feeling refreshed and grateful—and we truly hope to return someday.

The room was amazing! Beautifully arranged and all the amenities, the best was the porch overlooking the trees and the birds, breakfast was great. It’s pretty far from La Fortuna and most activities and wr didn’t rent a car. The host did drive us but we were limited in what we could do.

Excellent stay with very clean room, tropical garden and most of all extremely nice hosts. Carlos was always available to answer questions or give suggestion, and booked us a day trip with no additional charges. It’s an hour away from La Fortuna but great place if looking to relax and enjoy panoramic views. Road to La Fortuna is very windy and lush but well paved. Try to avoid driving in dark though. Overall a great stay here..

This is a hidden gem. They are such extraordinary hosts and the breakfast were delicious. I was so pleasantly surprised. And I am so picky and the place was very clean good for my OCD.

You don't stay in Arenal for the area around the B&Bs. You go to Arenal because it's funky and quiet and friendly . We return to Casa Donna Rosa for the welcoming owners and most of all for the fantastic breakfast preparations. I have only been gone one day and I miss their breakfasts already. Home baked Challah in think hunks with baked crisp finish the their french toast...yumm even before you try adding the smear of preserves. Great Costa Rican coffee is served with pots of wam milk.

We stayed at this lovely B&B for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The place was spotless - the bedroom, bathroom, and balcony were all exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The balcony offered a stunning view of Lake Arenal, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The two hosts were fantastic - warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. They made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Breakfast each morning was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, a perfect start to the day. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again!

This was such a wonderful place to stay while visiting the La Fortuna area. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. They made wonderful recommendations of what to do and booked everything for us so that we could just relax and enjoy. Very comfortable accommodations for my family of 5. Loved it!

Casa Donna Rosa is the place to stay❣️. The room was beautiful, the grounds exceptional and Carlos is Host Supreme. He made us feel so welcomed and provided a delicious breakfast each day. And he recommended activities which were reasonable in price and so thrilling. Lifetime memories are ours thanks to Carlos and Casa Donna Rosa.

Fabulous stay in Nuevo Arenal!

Casa Donna Rosa’s hosts are amazing, the property is beautiful and our king size villa was great. Comfy bed, tastefully decorated room and the shower was excellent. The huge balcony had a table, arm chairs and a kitchenette. All very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was the cherry on top as Carlos is a creative and talented chef. Don’t miss it! In addition, they provided excellent and detailed advice on attractions nearby going as far as making the reservations for us. I would not doubt in staying here again and really hope we have the opportunity to do it in the future.

Warner and carlos are fantastic!! They greet you as soon as you arrive. They offer great information for any sight seeing you may be interested in doing and they will email or phone companys to assist with reservations for tours. The breakfast that is included with your stay is delicious and you get to watch all kinds of birds for your entertainment. Our room was absolutely beautiful with a rainfall shower, soaker tub, and the views from the balcony are breathtaking! You won't find a better place to stay in the area

Carlos and Warner are not only amazing hosts but are truly genuine caring people. They gave us great recommendations as to activities, dining, best routes to travel and great general info on the area. Their home is beautiful and every detail is thought our perfectly for their guests. Carlos is an amazing cook, so make sure you include breakfast with your stay. We will be back and will definitly be staying here again!!

Carlos & Warner were amazing hosts! So many good things to say about the environment, cleanliness, the breakfast every morning was wonderful! They were able to give us great information regarding where to go , what to see & even go as far as telling us which routes to take that were better! They gave us great information on places to go eat and suggested certain ones that would work for us throughout each day! The natural wildlife was everywhere on their property, which was such a joy to see! Can’t say enough good things about our whole experience there.

Best B&B experience we have had

My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Royal Coop Suite at the Casa Donna Rosa Bed and Breakfast. We felt like royalty between the stunning accommodations and the attentive host. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions but also made delicious breakfast for my husband. To top it off they provided bananas to attract tropical birds to the porch of our room. Carlos and Werner know how to do things right.

Our hosts at Casa Donna could not have been more helpful and accommodating! Prior to arrival they helped us plan the perfect activities based on our interests to maximize our time in the area. Their in depth knowledge made our trip amazing. They handled all the reservations suggested restaurants and made everything easy. As most other reviewers mentioned, the breakfasts were outstanding. Our family of 5 enjoyed every single one. And the birds on the property were spectacular which was an added bonus. Thank you Casa Donna for making our trip a memorable one!
