"When looking for hotel rooms, I was only looking for a clean room with basic amenities. Just somewhere I could sleep for 1 night. When I walked in the staff were professional and nice. They immediately gave me a voucher for a free drink and 15% off a meal. And then they also upgraded my room. It was honestly the cherry on top of an amazing first trip to New York City. I have zero complaints about my stay and definitely recommend Hotel Shocard for anyone visiting New York!"

"Hotel Riu is very well located and within walking distance to many attractions in New York. There are also several subway stations located nearby to help get you to attractions in lower Manhattan, Yankee Stadium, Brooklyn, etc. Check-in at the hotel was quick as they have a pre-check in process online. The morning buffet was great with a large selection of foods to appeal to any diner. Our stay was during a very busy time (the World Cup) and the staff in the restaurant worked very well...

"It is quite literally a room with a bed and very little space to maneuver around. The shared toilet rooms are quite laughable. A normal sized human cannot fit into these areas. I had to stand up to urinate because it's impossible to close the door if you attempt to sit. It's very nosy, which is to be expected in NYC, but it's so loud outside of the window that I felt like I was sleeping outside. The only way to slightly cancel out that noise, is to turn on the A/C window unit. I could not access...
