Reasonably clean room in dated property. Upper level room, so great view of church next to property. Walls very thin, so could hear all goings-on from early morning party animals in next room.

We had to ask for tea bags. No hand soap. Nowhere to place items like shampoo when in the shower. Single bed moved with body movement. Wheels need brakes. Headboard needs fixing to the wall. Very dangerous. Actually fell forward over the bed. Floor didnt feel clean. Jumbo skips overflowing with rubbish. Untidy exterior. Wouldnt take much to neaten it up. Good supply of towels. Good parking.

quite old property, very dated exterior, public area not exactly appealling; bit sad, needs huge upgrafing; however, staff very attentive, professional, gd communicator, we drove 5 hours from New Plymouth, arrivaed at reception and hour prior to check in time; since a room is ready, we could check in, great courtesy room 12 we stayed, no hot water! possibly an oversight; room is tidy, minimalistic which appeals to us; very thoroughly cleaned; bedding, pillows comfly, often with old property and overdue carpet flooring, certain smell exits, but not our room, looks and feels hygenic amenities sufficient to cook meals, a plus good size fridge even with separates freezer upper compartment, very impressed windows could be adjusted for fresh air I definitely would book again.

Didn’t end up staying here because the staff didn’t even have a room ready when we arrived well after check in time, he was asking me what kind of bed I want, when I made the booking online so he should have known full well. Tried to get me to look at other rooms but the place was so horrible I had to leave.

As a single traveller I felt unsafe. People yelling till midnight. Lady next door so loud with her door open i couldnt sleep. I then asked her to close her door. The place was rundown. New fittings etc but covered in paint. Carpet covered in paint in bedroom.Would not stay again.Looked ok in pictures.

We booked this at short notice. This motel looked like it had been used for emergency housing and they still had some permanent residents there. There was rubbish outside the units, towels lying around, laundry bags. There was building demo rubbish outside one of the units and on the footpath out the front of the motel. There was no-one there when we went to check in so had to call the manager who was off-site - he was very apologetic and offered to help if we needed anything. The place looked very rough from the outside but the room was clean and tidy but missing items like dishwashing liquid & cloth and the queen bed did not have a mattress protector on it or on some of the pillows. There was a single and queensize bed in the main area by the kitchen and a single bed in the bedroom - no lounge/ dining furniture to sit on to watch tv or sit and chat. Motel is a great location to walk to local eateries

Staff did not allow us to have visitors, Were very quiet but aparantly neighbours were complaining. Staff stood outside beside cars waiting for visitors to leave, Was very unpleasant. Bedding was unclean, Looked like blood stains. Shower was horrible it only dribbled water. Worse experience staying in a motel, Will never book there again.

Close to Newmarket, walked in less than 30 mins. Staff friendly and helpful

Good location, but very dated

Very close to New Market and the CBD and on the route to the airport. Buildings are very old and require a lot of work. Rooms smelt a bit odd, probably damp, lots of areas of rotten timber in the bathrooms and mould. No soap in the bathroom (hand dispensers type thing all empty) Beds were made and appeared to be clean tidy. If your only after a bed and not worried about the odour or the condition its ok.

Roomy but dated

Good sized room and convenient layout. The hotel staff were also helpful. The room did smell however, and no amount of airing was able to fix that. The furniture was dated with no particular theme and possibly came from a used furniture auction house. Nice area and not too noisy. The place has potential if management pay some attention to the detail.

Great middle of the road accommodation

We stayed for two nights while attending a competition and it fitted the bill well. We had two units side by side. It worked exceptionally well for what we wanted. Walking distance from shops and restaurants and the raceway. On the bus route. Very clean and quiet. Just what we wanted.

The motel is in a very good location, not far from the Newmarket shopping precinct. We were in a ground floor unit at the back of the complex which was nice and quiet. Staff are friendly and the unit is cleaned daily and towels were replaced daily.

An old motel with basic facilities though clean and comfortable. Above all it was conveniently located to Newmarket and StMarks Surgical Centre which was the reason for our stay.

Nice and clean

Good for all people and very clean. Close to the city and awesome fish'n'chips shop right next door. Will definitely stay there again.
