"This was the third time I have stayed here. Each time with a different member of my family as we return to Darwin.
It is a convenient stop in the trip north allowing a good nights sleep in a quite comfortable room at a reasonable price.
If I am passing through Coober Pedy again Opal Inn will be my first choice"

"Room was clean and nice enough for the one night. I did have an issue where I was loading the car to leave on the Sunday morning at 9:30 ( checkout was 10:30) and the room had locked me out on a faulty timer and there were no staff onsite to let me back in unit 10:00am
Not a big deal just delayed me getting away a bit ."

"Place is in dire need of renovation. First night TV didn’t work. Adelaide was cold and aircon didn’t work. Teabags were undrinkable possibly due to being stored with dishwashing liquid. Bathroom was very dated with damaged surfaces. Desk only serviced from 9am so I couldn’t leave my bags when I wanted to check out earlier. It was a cheaper hotel but not any cheaper than the clean updated three stars I usually stay in. !!
I also booked it for its central location which was convenient !!"
