You get what you pay for, I guess. First, the positives, great price for the location, nice view if you get an oceanview room, it is a short walk to the beach/stores and the kitchen with a fridge is nice to have in a hotel room. Done, now for the negatives, other reviews have stated the rooms need to be upgraded, but most have not gone far enough. The room we got had mold growing in the bathroom, the wall AC unit was leaking, which the staff was aware of it because they placed a towel in a storage space place behind the unit to absorb the leaking water, the carpet was so old, dirty and matted I refused to let my daughter lay on it, the walls are very thin where you can easily hear the conversations of your neighbors, sometimes there is no manager or staff on site and you have to use a red phone located at the front of the hotel to get a hold of someone and the mattresses absolutely need to be replaced. The shape of the mattresses were so distorted from overuse I had to turn around and sleep where your feet should be otherwise I would have been sleeping at a downward slope where my feet were higher than my head. If you can afford it pay the extra cost to stay in a nicer hotel; one where you can sleep in a neutral position, with clean sheets and without fear of catching a disease from the disgusting carpet or inhaling mold spores either from the bathroom or leaky AC unit.
