"Only stayed one night to go to a concert. Said check in from 3pm but when I arrived at 4pm room was not ready. No air-conditioning in room but it was big & beds looked clean but whole place is in need of decorating. Lift was out if order. Kettle in room but only two mugs for three people. Had to ask a couple of times to get an extra mug. Did not use bath or shower over bath as didn't look clean. Towels are provided but no toiletries. Pub next door was good for a drink beforehand but doesn't do...

"The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were all fabulous, from check in to restaurant and bar. The lady waiting on breakfast was especially great. The challenges were that the room was rather hot, and given the location on the main road, opening the window meant it was noisy. Noise was the main issue - from doors opening, floors creaking and especially from the person in the next room who had their tv on extremely loud until past 2am. "

"We stayed during the hottest May on record, and the AC system in the rooms was not operational as we were informed by the front desk, that this functionality is only switched on for summer. As the room windows only open a few inches, it made for a hot and uncomfortable few nights stay."

"We were given a room that had no TV with used towels in the bathroom, we were moved to another room, the hallway smelt of smoke and two staff members also in front of us mentioned this but do not think anything was done about this. Hotel in a good location with good leisure facilities."

"Basic comfortable and as expected. Just a note the restaurant next door is not open on a Monday so a 15 minute walk to a pub for dinner. Think an old Premier inn for style"

"We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room. The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival. "Easy parking, the staff is nice and helpful"

"5 Star luxury from start to finish. Beautiful location and parking was so easy. The property itself must of just had a refurbishment as the room was fantastic. Fellow guests were welcoming especially when chatting at the front of the building. Local people actually visit the front of the hotel and chat to guests. Didn’t make it to the pool however the bath in the room was the size of a swimming pool."
