"Rugby match was being played and the car park was full even though there were security guards on checking in your staying, in the morning the car park was empty. The bar and restaurant was full so paying guests could not get food"

"VERY outdated! The pictures make it seem more modern than it is but old wardrobes, old curtains, old hairdryer, old desk and chairs. The corridors are very old and smell of cigarette smoke. The bed was dirty with what looked like blood stain and white stains on the head board. Windows were very thin and I could hear the traffic clearly. "

"Lots of onsite parking and hotel adjacent to the pub. Very pleasant staff all round and good selection of beers. Food was good quality and very hot. Breakfast was great and a wide selection to choose from. Our room was ground floor as requested and was nice and warm. Very large bed and whole room and bathroom was excellent. Great value for money and will definitely be back on our next trip to Wigan."

"This was our 3rd visit to the Worsley hotel whilst visiting family in the UK. The hotel is nice, but the rooms are a bit in need of an upgrade. The bathrooms could use better quality towels and new granite. The current countertop looks old and worn out like an older motel, not a 4 star hotel. The bedding is minimal and when I asked for a blanket was told they only had duvets. I was really looking for something for comfort but the thin bedding was minimal and not cozy at all. "We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room. The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival.
