"Parking and check in were easy. We had to request a hair dryer and when that finally arrived we had noticed there was no tv remote control. So had to ask for that as well. The curtains were broken and hanging off the track in several places. The pipes made a squealing noise when the shower was turned on. "It was very exciting staying in a castle. We had the family room which was very quaintly laid out with a single bed in its own part of the small turret, through a stone arch. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was served in a box in our room with loads of choice, and fresh produce in a mini fridge which was lovely. The area is stunning. "I hate to leave bad reviews so I will try to keep it opinion neutral and write the facts: - I should have realized but on a Saturday night they have very loud music on past 10pm. It seemed to be a club night. - the first room I was given a key to had not been cleaned. - if you are unlucky enough to have rooms 1 or 2 (ground floor rooms) the music was loud enough to hear from the rooms and patrons of the bar are able to walk past the rooms as an exit. - the second room I had was much quieter...

However dont go with any expectation of self catering, minimal facilities which dont include a basic toaster and less than adequate utensils. It appears there’s an assumption that you will eat at the restaurant which looks incredible but quite costly if there for evening meal and breakfast!"
