"Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. "The hotel is in a great location, approximately 15 minute walk to the town centre and Kings College, There is parking on site, which is payable for customers who have not booked directly through hotel website. Blue Badge holders park for free. Hang onto your parking ticket, as you'll need it to exit the barrier. "Good sized room. Unfortunately, as seen in many other reviews, the aircon was not working properly in the bedrooms. We heard others complaining too. Also a lingering unpleasant smell in one of the two suites we booked, and missing crockery. We have received a partial refund, but this issue really needs to be resolved, as it's clearly been going on for a while."

"When something goes wrong there is no one to sort it out. We arrived Tuesday late afternoon and found our tv was not working, we told the girls cleaning the rooms the following day as we were leaving who made the comment “ that’s another one to add to the list “"

"I paid extra for an airconditioned room however AC was not working. One of the beds was missing, there was a mattress on the floor which very dusty and not cleaned for a long time. Wallls were stained. Windows were locked, not possible to open. it was the worst experience of a hotel. I do not recomend to anyone. I also would like a refund for this terrible service."

"Three ladies in a group room for 4. The service was good to start off with however we were booked into room 108, which had several splats and pool stains of blood on the walls and carpet. The double sofa bed had a soiled single duvet and no cover and everything was set up for two. We had to make up the spare bed. Under the bed is covered in dust. Needs a good clean! "The corridors smell of dirty carpets and our rooms aircon was not working. They didn't offer any compensation or change of rooms, just brought a fan. Otherwise just an average business hotel."

"Lovely cosy hotel, great air con in the room. Gets busy in the lawn grass area - but so fun to watch the boats and cows go by. Breakfast was nice enough- the poached eggs were a little vinegary. We had a lovely stay. The decor is so cool 😎"

"The hotel was situated in town centre. Walkable to the river, local attractions and restaurants. We had a lovely stay and they have a small spa located next door which we used one morning. We did not eat breakfast there so unable to comment on food, the rooftop bar was lovely for drinks. Our door was difficult to open but staff were helpful and efficient."
