"Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be a bit better. Maybe with more fruit besides tinned peaches and grapefruit."

"Stayed in an “accessible” room, but unfortunately it smelt like a drain. Staff were welcoming and friendly at check in and car park seemed secure and free - unusual in the area! Great location - central and food was available on site. Breakfast was good, but coffee machine was broken, so just instant available which was a disappointment."

"Loved this country house hotel. Very charming and close proximity to Chester and its zoo. Only 30 mins away from Manchester Airport so would definitely consider staying here if flying from there. Hotel is set in beautiful grounds. Has its own restaurant but we didn’t eat here as some lovely local places to sample. Staff were very helpful and our room was comfortable and cosy. Would certainly recommend. Breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked and plentiful"

"I didn't like the amount of stairs because our bags were heavy (2 week trip) woth multiple stays. Also, a key from the front desk was necessary in order to access the pool. The location, however was very nice. Right in the square and walkable to food, shopping etc."

Can’t use fridge, takes forever to get an ice bucket and even we did died it’s for our champagne- they didn’t bring any glasses- just an ice bucket!!!
