The owner Sandra and her staff go above and beyond to make your stay fantastic!! The only thing that some people may find difficult was that because the hotel is within a beautiful historic building there’s no elevator, but the hotel is extremely clean and comfortable and safe!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, Management and staff were fantastic, Breakfasts were well done and food was fresh. Loved the little Rooftop Garden and the Gothic Quarter for walking and seeing the sites, eating and Shopping. Will stay again next year, Feb 2026!

Good Base to Visit Barcelona

The room was small, but serviceable. There were amenities such as shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, comb etc. Staff was friendly overall. They kept our bags for us early in the day before check in was available and allowed a late check out to accommodate our flight time.

Historic property is fantastic, as are the gardens. Close to restaurants & gothic quarter. Only downside is no elevator and that is being added. A great b & b!

Wonderful breakfast and host in a fabulous historical building with amazing rooftop. We stayed in the smallest room as that was all that was available….they are tiny with no natural light due to the orientation but would stay again:)

Location, location, location! This hotel is right across the street from the Gothic Quarter and close to everything else! Wonderful hosts, clean establishment and amazing breakfast buffet. We highly recommend Hotel Porxos Garden in Barcelona!

The Porxos Garden was a tucked away gem! It is located in a historic building which adds to its charm! It was close enough to walk to dining, shopping, the beach, etc. a perfect location! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience 😊

I can’t say enough about how great this property is. The room was clean, quiet, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great. Very walkable area. Easy to get into the heart of the old town or stroll over to the marina. I would highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay here again. Sandra and her staff are amazing hosts.

It is a beautiful hotel, the owner/manager is winderful. You will be in a historical building, they preserved as much as they could. The bed is wonderful, the amenities are good. Expect some stairs but worth it. Near restaurants, near picasso museum and near the water (walking distqnce).

The owner pays attention to all your comfort needs including tooth brushes and toothpaste in the rooms. Her greeting information was excellent communication and her welcome brochure was intriguing. It was nice to stay in the first home of Picasso on his move to Barcelona. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Water coolers for use on every floor and rooftop terrace was an added bonus. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Everything was great besides the excessive noise every morning from renovations(i guess). On vacation one likes to sleep in but they were drilling concrete n banging every morning around 8 until around 11

A very well run charming boutique hotel convenient to the waterfront, Ramblas, and subways. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and adequate. We had a larger room on the street side which was bright by day but can be a bit noisy at night. It should also be noted that you will need to climb 2 flights of stairs to access the property as an elevator is not available. All in all a very nice property and good value if you are visiting Barcelona.

We loved staying here! The furnishings are modern and the breakfast is quite good. Our room was small, but this was exactly what we needed for exploring the city. A metro and train station are within a five minute walk. There are several high quality restaurants and shops nearby as well. This is an old building with a lot of character - the rooftop garden is unique. Our host (owner) mentioned that Picasso once briefly lived in this building as a youth while his father taught across the street, so there's even a historical connection there.
