"We found this hotel to a delight. It is well located, super clean, classy, and so nice to return to after walking around the city, especially when it is hot outside; the a/c is excellent. We just finished staying there 5 nights and loved it. The room was a bit small, but I expect that in to be the case in many European locations. This property is excellently maintained. "As advertised. Very cute room. It’s very small but you don’t want to stay in your room while you’re in Rome!! Communal kitchen. (Nothing in there) Comfy bed. Owner was amazing. Met us when we got there and showed us where things were. Loved it"

"Unfortunately, our experience at Mama’s Home Rome was very disappointing. Andrea was extremely unhelpful and even appeared to fake a back injury to avoid assisting us with our luggage up several flights of stairs. While the bathroom was modern and nicely renovated, the rest of the apartment felt somewhat dirty, uncomfortable, and not particularly well maintained. Overall, we would never stay here again and would strongly recommend choosing one of the many better accommodations available...

"The location is outstanding. Even though it's off of a very busy street, our room was so quiet. And conveniently, there is an absolutely amazing restaurant directly next to the hotel. The air conditioning worked great. The kitchen had everything we needed, including paper towels and dish soap. They are so responsive on whatsapp. Much appreciated! Would absolutely stay again!"

"The host was very kind, room was clean. The view is non existent. The stairs to get up to the 3rd floor with luggage are a nightmare. The jacuzzi looked nasty. The towels were brown and the apartment smelled like cigarettes. The WiFi hardly worked and would cut in and out every 5 minutes. The shower water never got warm."

"Hotel Smeraldo is a hidden gem in a perfect Location to all the major sites. Restaurants we’re just steps away from hotel. All the staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to assist you. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Rome to stay there. Another huge plus is the rooftop bar and restaurant.
