"My two daughters and I normally stay in 5 star hotels when vacationing. This trip was a last minute getaway to Wisconsin Dells. I looked at different hotels in the area, but most of them were booked and/or slightly higher in cost for the dates we needed. Then I started looking at motels. There were many to choose from, but again we normally don't stay at motels. So, I am looking at all the reviews and one particular motel kept coming up with 4.8 to 5 star reviews. It was the Black Hawk Motel....

"Fantastic clean and comfortable room. Accommodating and friendly staff. First time was a charm planning on coming back next time I am in the area!"

"The continental breakfast was not the best. Sausage cold and different looking, not too good. Eggs were okay. The elevator was warm and smelled of oil or something, stunk. House keeping were not very friendly, said, Hi and no response."

"Rented 5 rooms for family. Everything was perfect except that all 5 room floors were dirty. Walking on the floors turned everyone’s (17 people) feet black. Recommend providing each room with a broom and dustpan to sweep up the sand that gets tracked in. Rooms were clean otherwise. Plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. 4 pillows per bed. All 5 families said they would definitely stay again."

"We go to Wisconsin Dells every year and we’ve been at the All Star four times and they remember us as if we were family. We will return again to the All Star next year and next year and the next. We love the folks that run it ,friendly can’t beat it and you get a Noahs Ark wristband that you can use every day."

"We had a wonderful stay for our stop at Wisconsin dells for the day on our trip to Mount Rushmore. Lisa & Eric were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. My 3 year old loved the whale slide (his first water slide). There was a graduation party going on annd was worried about the noise but didn’t even hear a peep. Excellent stay if on a budget and just need a nights rest."

"I booked a king suite with jetted tub. Immediately upon entering the room the deep smell of cigarette use permeated the room. There were two chairs in the suite part of the room that were severely worn and old and large areas of stains on the carpeting. Walking into the bedroom section the cigarette use smell only worsened although there was an attempt to mask the smell with heavy air fresheners, to no effect. I had just driven 8 hours to the location and was very fatigued and tired and sat...

"We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! One of the first things we noticed was how clean everything was. Our room was spotless, spacious, and had a lot of what looked like brand-new furniture—some pieces, including the sleeper sofa, still had the tags attached. The mini fridge was much larger than expected, and the room also had a safe. The only thing we noticed missing was a microwave, though we didn’t ask if one was available. The staff was plentiful, friendly, and always visible...

"We enjoyed our stay so much!!! Free noahs ark tickets each day is an amazing amenity! The motels indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub we so clean, great size. My.kids loved the shamrock shaped pool the best. Vending, ice machine, and grills were awesome We all had a great time!"

"Room was big. Bathroom was tiny, old and door wouldn't close properly. Sink was poorly designed with faucet too close to sink edge. Breakfast with fake eggs and stale poor tasting danish. TV was good size and well placed. Couch was good. Just terrible bathroom setup. Would I stay here again? Will like try someplace with a walk in shower."

"We stayed here for 2 nights after walking out of the Super 8 by Wyndham (whole other review...but stay away). We were in one of the rooms in the hotel, not a treehouse, after finding out there was no bathroom or shower in the treehouses. They did have bath houses available but we weren't looking for the "camping" experience so we grabbed a room. Nothing fancy, but adequate for my wife and I and eleven year old grandson. Perfect as a base for everything the Dells has to offer. Friendly staff. And...

"Pool across the street was small, but nice and quiet. Bathrooms in the rooms are ridiculously small! Basically enough room to stand in them (the sink is outside the bathroom). Soap and shampoo dispensers were both empty. Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for breakfast first morning. Second morning we knew to not even bother to try to get any. Getting coffee and Starbucks inside restaurant was also impossible on Saturday morning as workers were there and acknowledged us, but never came to wait...
