"I stayed in a cottage in Shambala Estate on a relaxed drive up to Cairns from Melbourne with my two dogs. It was simply beautiful. When I opened the door it smelt great, there was soft music playing and it looked gorgeous. My stay was relaxed and comfortable in a beautiful and clean room. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend."

"Staff and other people in the building were really helpful and friendly. Adult bedroom SAS great, and the bed was comfortable. The kids room was cramped, and the beds were uncomfortable. Overall the place is looking pretty tired, think the photos need to be updated.
Was great having the kitchen and washer/dryer in the apartment, but could have been clearer that they only provide 'starter' cleaners and toilet paper, so be prepared to buy your own. Also, bring face clothes, and, if you can,...

"I would not recommend this place at all. I actually left one night earlier than planned because I couldn’t sleep due to bugs in the mattress. I was itching all night.
The accommodation was extremely dirty, especially under the beds, and the rooms were full of dust. There was no daily cleaning service, and there weren’t even any cleaning supplies available for guests to clean up themselves.
Towels were not changed daily either. You had to go to reception and ask for fresh towels.
Overall, a...

"Unfortunately, we did not know that the room was on the third floor and there was no lift. Had we known this we would not have booked here. My wife has an issue walking up many stairs so it was somewhat stressful.
However, we did have an issue as we went out for the evening and when we returned, we found the curtain rail in the bedroom had come down at one end with the curtain attached. The plate that supported the rail had been attached to the wall with extremely short screws and it looks as...
