Some places offer you a room for the night, but others make you feel genuinely welcomed, cared for and valued. The Best Western in Corte Madera is most definitely the latter!
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a team whose positivity, energy, warmth and generosity were simply outstanding. Having arrived after a very long flight, I was understandably exhausted, and despite being much earlier than the usual check-in time, the team went out of their way to accommodate me. We were a bit worried when we arrived that the area outside the hotel was crazy busy and full of loud cars, bikes and music… but we had read a top tip to request a courtyard room and so actually our room was super quiet and relaxing and a nice break from the chaos of fisherman’s wharf.
Restaurant breakfast was delicious but there’s also a latam coffee shop on the corner of the block directly behind the hotel who do amazing pastries.

Ideally situated outside of San Francisco, plenty of amenities close by , there are many choices of restaurants in San Rafael , we used ferries and drove in to San Francisco, the parking is very expensive , this is why we chose the Marin lodge,

What a great location only a few minutes drive from Golden Gate Bridge and on bus route 28 into Fisherman’s Wharf. We had a courtyard room which, although it was cosy, was all we needed for a couple of nights in San Francisco. The bed was really comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Being able to park our car on site and not worry about it being safe was a bonus.
We would highly recommend this quirky hotel with a friendly welcome. We’d happily stay again.

First time stay at this hotel. Great location. Great public transport almost on doorstep. Great customer service at front desk. Al at the bar was excellent and gave some great tips on getting about. We were in Room 504, and had a view of Alcatraz and the Bay Bridge. We asked for a mini fridge and coffee making facilities, and by the time we got back from our trip for dinner, they were set up in our room for us. Bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Wanted to avoid staying in San Francisco. The space of the room was excellent and the location for ferry, the drive to Stinson beach, access to city were all fantastic.
