"There was a young persons football tournament on resulting lots of them around the hotel which is fine however parents allowed them to run riot which could have been avoided had the staff been more hands on and ‘seen’
Yes parents should be monitoring their children and if not should be told by staff if children were misbehaving but nothing was said as there was not enough staff to monitor or deal with the situation

"We spent the weekend there.
Our first visit.
Longtime Blackpool visitors and decided we needed a change from our usual haunt of the past 20 years. A large north shore older hotel but the basement pool facility is now closed.
Our 10 years old granddaughter likes a pool.
Quite pleased with the Doric.
Plus points:
Very good & friendly staff & plenty of them.

"There is no entertainment at this property so please dont book on that basis, the walls are thin and the rooms are small. The staff are helpful to a degree but seem to decide themselves weather they can be bothered to serve alcohol or not.
The lift is tiny, so if claustrophobic then dont use, the location is okay, its about .8 miles from north pier which isn't bad on foot, or a tram stop stright outside!
The sea views might be good if youre lucky to have one, not so great if your view is to...
