"Kauai Shores was amazing; the hotel, the location, the staff, the rooms…everything was perfect for us. It was very centrally located in Kapa’a, we were able to explore the entire island with only an hour drive any direction. Lots of amazing food options close by too. The rooms were so clean and nice, made for a great home base while exploring Kauai. "We stayed one night before the Napali excursion. The property seemed pretty, but the main disadvantage is the roosters. They start screaming at 3:30 am and it’s not possible to sleep. AT ALL. The conditioner is very loud, so we had to turn it off, so it was very humid to sleep. Horrible night, so we were like in a fog at the excursion."

"This property has no elevator for wheelchair and handicap people. No grab bars in bathtub. Lanai screen door does not lock properly ( need to be replace ). Sliding door toilet/bathtub bathroom not sturdy. But, overall rating 4 stars. The entire property is quite, maintained well, laid back for families. Yes, we would be back at this Kauai Beachboy Resort again. "

"The property is dated but the places are quite large with big decks. We had a termite issue in our kitchen that couldn’t be resolved while we were in it. They offered to move us but we decided to just deal with the cleaning the counters and stove top rather than move to a less desirable unit. One pool, the nicest one, was not open for several days during our stay. The property was reasonably priced."

"We booked a two bedroom, two bath unit. Before arriving I received an email stating that the two bedroom was no longer available. I replied with a follow up question which went answered. When we arrived, we discovered the only bedroom faced the parking lot-not the ocean. Had we known this, we likely would have cancelled our reservations. The unit itself was a bit dirty.
