"The hotel is located in an upscale Neighbourhood that is close to a more private beach with fewer people. It is about a half hour or more depending on traffic from Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. There are restaurants along the main street. There was a Terrace on the 18th floor, which has an excellent view of the city and the multilingual front desk staff is excellent to work with for recommendations and directions. "Center strip right on the beach with unsurmountable views! Our suite was large and had a huge tub looking straight out over copacabana. The bed was glorious after walking all day and we had a fridge. The best thing, the huge balcony! Staff was super friendly and helpful. As an American I always complain about buffets when I travel. It had a bunch of fruit and cheese and some sliced chopped ham, but the scrambled eggs were way undercooked everyday... just watery. I didn't recognize anything else...

"Breakfast was okay, good selection but the hot food was not that good. My room was 1403, right next to the rooftop bar/pool. In the morning it was incredibly noisy from the workers setting everything up between 7am and 9am. A lot of noise from the floor above as well in the morning, but that is another patio space, not rooms. I would not recommend the 14th floor because the staff is not considerate noise wise."
