"Stayed there in April 2026 very good hotel by the river side with free laundry cleaning bought my Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan National gate passes ( they gave a good advices on the national park ) & Chinese night shows tickets from them with a good deal free water bottles everyday - front desk are very polite and helpful 100% recommended "

"All staffs are very friendly and helpful from checkin staff Xiao Wu, hotel manager, restaurant staffs & all the drivers. Xiao Wu very patiently went through the tour routes based on how much time we have with a lovely hand-drawn cute map. We had a lovely stay despite the unexpected road works. But hotel had proactively arranged the pickup at road work section to provide us a worry free experience. We are very lucky to have a free upgrade to a lovely 270 degree Mountain View lodge, No 11 Jian Shan. We loved it. It is so spacious with a stunning mountain view and a perfect spot to watch Sunset. Hotel location is very conveniently close to West Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park, the quietest gate of all five gates. It is perfect for me as I am not great with long queues and walking along big tour groups. Overall, I would highlight recommend No 5 Vally Lodge."

"David and the staff were amazing, inviting us even to share in their New Year’s dinner. The location is gorgeous although a bit remote, so plan to organize your activities in advance if you can since getting a ride from DiDi can be a challenge. "

"Overall a very good place to stay. Very close to the National Forest attractions. Staff will need translator to communicate. They can’t understand English but they are very helpful and friendly. Special mention to the waitress Li Ping on our floor. She was very helpful and took care of use very well. "
