"I have never had the valet/bell desk at a hotel of this caliber be so dismissive. To actually just let me take my bags out of the car, not say hello, not ask if they can assist is mind blowing. And then when I’m leaving and ask them to hail me a cab for the airport and they say ask the front desk? Somewhat surprising. It’s a beautiful location, views are solid, rooms are a little spartan for a five star BUT the quality is still there. Ate at the piano bar/pool restaurant downstairs, food was solid, not spectacular. The chocolate chip cookies were amazeballs. The restaurant was somewhat crowded and they arrange it in such a way that I was constantly getting hit in the shoulder like if you’re in the aisle seat of a plane. As I’m getting up after paying, a waitress walks by, hits me in the shoulder and then almost trips over my foot. She then admonished me that I should be careful as if I intended to trip her… put a certain taste in my mouth. I did call down to guest services to ask for ice as my daughter had injured her ankle and needed to do some therapy. They said it was coming, but 40 minutes later, no ice and we had to go to our event. Would I stay there again? Yes, most likely. I’ll just be prepared going in that the front of house staff isn’t up to par. Housekeeping was incredible."
