"We attended a birthday party. The hall was nice. We had an evening meal at the hotel, which was absolutely delicious. The room was quite disappointing, needing updating. The bedside lamps didn't work, but the staff were lovely"

"The room was very clean and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We ate there 2 evenings and the food was good. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. There was ample parking during our stay."

"The hotel was easy to access and check in was quick and trouble free. The room was tidy and had everything you would need but the cleaners need to reach a bit higher in dusting off the ledges and tops of pictures, mirrors and the bed surround. The bar area was basic but served its purpose and we hadn’t booked breakfast so paid for it on the first morning. Due to the good standing for so long under lights, the bacon was like leather, the beans had a stiff skin across the top and my orange juice...

"Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "

"We had a pleasant stay at The Briar Court Hotel. Location was good, close to the motorway and Huddersfield. Breakfast was good with some gluten free options. Staff were very helpful. We had a dog friendly room, but there was a large stain on the carpet."

"We are a family of 5 so stayed in the party suite as would otherwise need 2 rooms. It was absolutely superb. So spacious with loads of amenities. Best hotel room we’ve ever had. Staff lovely and location perfect. Fabulous stay"

"We were really unhappy at first as the room we were given the toilet stank, I went to reception to complain about this and the only choice I was given was to pay for an upgrade.!! Although it was only £15 I don't think that this was fair, especially as it was uninhabitable The receptionist said that he would pass this on to his manager but I have not heard a thing We are going again, but are obviously very wary about it all We are going quite a few times to this hotel and the previous rooms...

"Excellent. Location is superb. A warm welcome from the staff. Room very clean, comfy bed brilliant shower. Breakfast was very good. A great place to stay. No hesitation in highly recommending this hotel."
