"After 7 years of staying in other London hotels I’m so relieved to find a hotel that has a decent bed, a fantastic breakfast and staff who help. Impressed and we will be back again "

"Friendly helpful staff, lovely little room, comfortable bed. The bathroom is not the greatest as water pressure was very low to have a nice shower. Sink was blocked, water didn't flow down as the plug was stuck. Not tried breakfast or any food not had time for that. Quite a few eating places around the lodge. Other than the bathroom, it's great for few nights stay, would still chose it again."

"The hotel was fine, and the only reason for a lower rating was the noise at night. It was some sort of boiler or extractor that turned on throughout the night every half hour and resulted in an awful nights sleep. "

"The room is a nice size, clean, but very very dated, the shower was in the bath and not very good. The hotel itself is located not far from Stansted airport and it's the only reason I would consider booking again. The parking at the hotel is very poor and pretty much a free for all but the car park next door is free between 6pm to 8am with proper painted bays where people park rather than just abandon their cars. All in all it was an ok choice of a place to stay for an early flight but I doubt...

"If you are going to Stansted I would highly recommend staying at another hotel as there are cheaper ones in the area and this one is not worth the price. Why? The staff. Whilst the room is a nice size with a nice bed the staff are the reason not to stay. The first issue I incurred was at check in, they ignored the fact there was a queue and started serving people that just walked into the hotel ignoring the people who had waited ages. "The mattress was heavily mouldy and in a very poor condition. The air in the room was terrible, with a strong and unpleasant smell. On top of that, the staff were unfriendly and not polite at all. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place."

"This was one of the worst places for cleanliness we have ever stayed in. Unfortunately the cleaner is very young and has probably never been shown how to clean properly. The people who run the place obviously don't check the rooms properly. The towels smelt like they had been washed in cooking oil. One morning my husband asked for a clean cup as we could clearly see it was not clean and the person said whatever in a matter of fact way. I have plenty of photographs for evidence of this. "
