"Affordable parking was difficult, we ended up using a third party for parking and got a ride to the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and all the staff were extremely friendly. We were very happy with the room we got for the price we paid. Breakfast was decent, and there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel for other meals. "

"A family emergency came up that shortly after booking prevented me from being able to attend at all. Expedia approved for a full refund and needing the hotel's acceptance reached out in multiple ways including an email requesting acceptance of such but we have not heard back and it is now the next day. I reached out in multiple ways as well and have not heard back from them. I have been a loyal customer for years but at this point Congress Plaza has now lost a would have continued to be long-term customer."

"I was only in town for one day. But it was an easy seamless check-in. The room was clean and bathroom was clean. Everything in the room work and I had no need to call or any assistance. The checkout was very simple was done on my phone as I walk down the hallway before leaving."

"In the heart of Chinatown. Pleanty of places to eat and walking distance to great venues! Parking garage isn't far of a walk either. Quality stay for a great price. "

"The property asked for a $300 cash (Venmo) refundable deposit. They said after 5-7 days they would refund it. After two weeks still nothing and no response to my inquiries. In addition, there was a party with 25+ people in the common area on a Saturday night. Very loud music and lots of yelling. I DO NOT recommend this place."

"I purchased a Lake View Room, when I arrived they said my room was not available yet and moved me to another room. I could see the lake only if I stood behind the T.V. All three windows had no view at all. When I brought it up to staff they said that the room qualified as a Lake View and would not reimburse me or move me to another room. I told them at most this room should be a partial lake view and they wouldn’t listen. It’s a money grab, be careful with this one. Soda and water bottles in the lobby are $8 each and the hotel removed the vending machines on the floors forcing you to go downstairs. There’s way better hotels in Chicago. This one is a microcosm to everything wrong with Chicago."

"Nice, spacious room. The parking lot right next to it does not have in and out privileges so it’s pricey but the location is great. Easy highway access "
