"Easy parking. Check-in was a breeze. Helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant was sublime (and I have a very fussy partner so trust me on this). The room exceeded expectations and thoughtful little niceties like sweets and luxurious ample bathroom additions and slippers/bathrobes. We were a little late down for the 10am finish for the Continental breakfast, but not made to feel rushed at all. In fact the lovely Manager Jacey was warm and chatty. Highly recommend for value,...

"Just a one nights stay at the Kicking Dicky before a flight out of Stansted, which was chosen for it's ideal location and at a better value than the generic hotels. No issues with the room which is external to the pub, so was nice and quiet. The food was decent with a good selection a beers. Overall a nice find and would be happy to stay again."

"The property could do with a bit of updating in the rooms especially the bathroom and some painting. They offed a reasonable menu and the food was excellent. We found all the staff to be friendly one impartial was Liv she check to see if the room was ready as we were early and wanted to go out.We were meeting friends for lunch she came over to remind us of kitchen closing time and tell us about fish Friday deal,the service she gave throughout our stay was excellent she was so helpful"

"Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this? Two of us went for breakfast after 9 and was refused. Chef was only able to make a bacon sandwich. Coffee was thick and gloopy and undrinkable .
