"Lovely hotel in a nice quiet location. Room was really nice. Food great and staff lovely."

"No advanced notice that lift wasn't working. No ideal with 2 guest with mobility issues and 3 flights of stairs yo rooms. Also found it odd that there's no secondary glazing for noise in room but yet there was in restataunt. Breakfast was average but bacon hard and overcookec under heat lights. Didn't have the best of choices. All in all very average stay"

"We really enjoyed our stay, the property is so quiet at night, the host was very helpful and the breakfast choice was excellent. We only stayed one night on our way to Stornoway but if we're ever this way again we'll stay at Midtown B&B."

"Rooms were comfortable. Good beds and duvets. Wonderful view! Staff were very approachable and pleasant. The breakfasts were good apart from the last day when no hot breakfasts available. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal but were disappointed there was no hot drinks available afterwards. Not easy to park for larger vehicles."

"The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

"I was confused by the reviews on this hotel as they swung from terrible to fantastic. I found the place perfect for my stay, while doing the coast to coast walk. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the bar was good, I didn’t require an evening meal. The room was clean as were the facilities. There is really nothing nearby, (by foot). The building is old and does need a lot of work, but this didn’t affect my stay. The room furniture was also a little ‘tired’, but my...

"Really lovely staff, incredible rooms with so much space. It's right in the centre but has a car park next to it too. Can't fault it really."

"Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect."
