Excellent location, great service at the bar and a lovely clean room with a very comfy bed! The only annoying part for us was being put in a room on the lower ground floor and Sunday room service for breakfast was too busy to book. Also, expensive parking due to the central location. Other than that, we loved it!!

Great location and cool historical building. Breakfast was good. Underground parking was convenient. Within walking distance of a lot of food and attractions. Ice machines didn’t work well. Beds were a little hard. Some front desk staff weren’t very friendly. E.g. at one point my two sons and I were walking back in past the front desk and the staffer confronted us about where we thought we were going - assuming we weren’t staying there I guess. Overall was a nice stay.

Centrally located, easy to access restaurants surrounding the old harbour. Hotel is first class, we recommend it.

The hotel was lovely! The staff especially made our night away so perfect with being so kind, generous and informative! It was for a birthday and just made it feel so special so thank you!

The building was beautiful…the location was perfect—it made everything about the city so accessible. The staff were all so gracious and kind and helpful. We’d come back to stay there, anytime.

The hotel was lovely. But I found it difficult to sleep. Our room looked over the mezzanine so was quite noisy. We could hear people and sirens and shouting into the early hours of the morning so I really did not sleep well.

I asked for a feather free room for medical reasons. This was confirmed by helpful checkin staff. I woke in middle of night suffering and having to take medication. All pillows were feather. Housekeeping staff need to understand the conseuences of their failure. Recompense was supposed to be put in place but not yet received.

Incredible stay
I booked this hotel as my partner was visiting from London for the weekend, from start to finish the service, the hotel in general and everything in between was fantastic. I arrived at 13:00 and asked if they had a room ready so I could check in early. They said they had a lower ground floor room available but I wasn’t too sure how it would look so they offered to show me the room before I said yes which was fantastic! The room was spacious, light and has great amenities. After a really comité check in process they asked the reason for my stay and I explained my partner is coming from London so they have me a single red rose to give to her which was so incredibly thoughtful as it was valentines weekend! It really is the small details that make the trip superior. When we checked out we were also allowed to leave our bag for a couple of hours whilst we went for lunch. All in all what a fantastic stay in the Marriott and I would have no doubt staying here again! Thank you for the great service guys!

Lovely Anniversary Weekend
Great hotel and location. Beautiful inside. I think the check in time of 4pm is too late for a city hotel which was made worse as we were told on arrival it would be ready by 2:30 and we were still waiting after 4pm. The hotel gave us a slight upgrade as we were waiting to go out (it was our wedding anniversary) & waived the parking fee. The breakfast although tasty was not run particularly well as both mornings we waited a substantial period of time for key items to be replenished. The hotel would’ve received 5 stars if it wasn’t for the above issues. I would recommend this hotel to others and would be happy to stay again.

Perfect hotel for a night away in Bristol.
Booked through Tesco Clubcard scheme. Converted our vouchers so just paid taxes. Had the most wonderful stay in the best hotel we've ever stayed at! Better than any Hilton, Sheraton, Radisson or Holiday Inn. The original decor in the lobby and communal areas was stunning and it was nice to be able to read the history of the hotel. Our room was larger than most we've stayed at and was impeccable. Great view over the Watershed. The area was perfect, right on College Green and a perfect under-ten-minute walk to our destination, the O2 Academy. Even better was the fact that Nottingham Forest Football team were staying in the hotel that night and we got to meet them and their manager, Nuno. A thoroughly enjoyable night away.

Good hotel to relax in
A lovely hotel & great to relax. The service was very good. The hotel bar was well stocked, but service was very slow, as staff were constantly dealing with the drinks required in the restaurant.
