"The resort is absolutely fantastic. The staff will do anything to ensure you have a good stay. The free activities are incredible. Make sure you try yoga with the incredibly skilled Wayan and the walks with the activities coordinator are well worth it to see parts of the area you would not have seen. I had a 2 hour massage and scrub experience with Riki which was absolutely incredible and so reasonably priced. I recommend the spa !The only problem at the moment is what staff call ‘the conservation project’ which is in fact heavy machinery on the beach moving rocks to build a rock wall. They work from 8am to 9:30pm at night. I don’t doubt it is essential work but I would stay there once it is finished (this year according to staff) or just make sure you select your room carefully. I had to change rooms and the staff were empathetic and responsive to my concerns. The trouble is the construction moved to underneath my balcony on my last morning making the balcony unusuable. Besides this I would highly recommend Candi Beach Resort. "

"Overall Shankara Parada is a nice place. Staff is very friendly, grounds were nice & location was perfect for all activities (Lipah Beach is a steep stairwell walk away). But outside of these here are my challenges with the property. There are only 2 units which have decent views. Each unit lacks a formal kitchen. The pillows I found to hard & not comfortable. Toughest time sleeping. Our unit (2 bedrooms) didn't have a place to comfortably sit. Lacked any living room comforts & our view to the ocean/sunrise was blocked by numerous trees. The only way to see the sunrise (which had a huge telephone pole in it) was where they serve breakfast (which we never experienced). Would I stay here again. Probably not. One caveat, which my family loved, was the puppy & mother dog who they wanted to take home...LOL... The property does require a lot of walking stairs so if you're open to getting in a few steps you might like it..."

"The Griya is a fantastic location and a view to die for with friendly staff and clean accommodation. Room layout 2 bedrooms being separate was private. Only thing our friends were originally in room 4 until I said this was arranged 9 months prior and they moved our friends which was great. Rooms 6 and 7 had interconnected door which enabled our friends to share facilities. Great for the kids and adults too. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating from booking early to kitchen, bar staff and cleaners. The private infinity pool in our villa was outstanding. The kitchen fully equipped with all utensils if you needed to cook but we did not as the restaurant was great. The rooftop bar loved it as it was our happy place. Not far from diving spots which were world class. (Definitely recommend fresh fins) "

"Santai is a beautiful place to stay while in Amed. The staff is super friendly and kind, they really add to the experience. The pool was so lovely, the units themselves too. The good was excellent at the hotel restaurant and we loved the access to the water. "
