"Older property, fairly run down and really in need of a coat of paint. Quite clean but the cleaning products used are really pungent. Reasonably priced for Vancouver and the location is excellent. I would say that the location offsets the negatives of the property but it depends on what you value."

"Our stay at this hotel was good, no complaints! The property was clean, and the staff were friendly. We had a room that had a shared bathroom- it wasn’t the most ideal. However, we made it work and figured out how to lock it (for extra security once in the bathroom). Overall, a good hotel, and relatively local to downtown Vancouver!"

"We were on the Burrard road side and it was pretty loud. They have added in room air conditioners to the mobile kind ( needed now in the summer ) and I think that’s where most of the noise was coming from"

"For a very expensive hotel, it was disappointing. There seemed to be a shortage of staff at reception. The room was pleasant enough but the platform for the bed was wider than the mattress and, as a result, I badly bruised my shin. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillow were too hard and too thick for comfort."

"This property has surprise charges… for example: if you book an ocean view room and are only 1 person, they charge you an additional $29 because you are single. I am not even kidding. $30 for parking. $30 per pet per night. The room has a kitchen and a Keurig but if you actually use the Keurig, they charge you $25 for “using the kitchen”. The location is great but the building is old and it feels like it is run by “cheap management”. Would not recommend"

"Great location...walking distance to Stanley Park and Gastown. Breakfast buffet very nice (a bit pricey for just continental). Fitness room had lots of equipment. Outdoor pool and saunas were also nice."
